Lucky Elk

Who doesn’t like being lucky? Who doesn’t like elks? So I figured why not review the Lucky Elk hemp company based out of southern Oregon. While I do like Elks and love getting lucky, that’s not why I’ve reviewed them here at THCaVendors.com.
I’m reviewing them because they are one of the top tier hemp vendors on the market today. They offer a variety of high end THCa products that are organic, USA grown. If you want the best bud you can buy online, then LuckyElk should be on your radar. Plus you can find some deals on less expensive bud.
Let’s take a deep dive look at this company in my review.
Who Is LuckyElk Hemp?
LuckyElk is a southern Oregon based hemp farm that has began growing food for the local area in 2011. The founder and owner is a gentleman named Tucker Pyne who brought his love of permaculture to Oregon and implemented them on the Lucky Elk farm.
I like Lucky Elk because the hemp is 100% organic, with no pesticides or chemicals and uses clean sustainable farming practices. They strive to grow the cleanest hemp possible, as well as some fruits and veggies for their local community. They are known for their THCa flower but do not sleep on their rosin as it is top tier quality as well.

My First Lucky Elk Hemp Order
I was skeptical placing my first order with the good elk, because quite frankly they are on the higher side of average for price. If you are looking for cheap weed, you can move along. There are places out there offering considerably less expensive bud.
However, if you are like me and wanted the best THCa bud possible regardless of cost (within reason) then LuckyElk should be on your short list. I’m not saying they are overpriced. They are not even the most expensive of the THCa vendors I buy from, but they are up there and competitive with other favorites like The Hemp Barn, Piur Select, Flow Gardens and the like.
I wanted to try out both their indoor and greenhouse/outdoor grown strains. I picked up a quarter of Super Boof, their indoor grown and their Purple Punch which is a greenhouse grown strain that was good to chill out at night. The super boof wasn’t my favorite mainly because of the super strong taste that was fruity and cherry based. The effects were good and the cure was great but the taste made me put this one on my do not buy again list.
Things We Like
Lucky Elk’s Hemp / Cannabis Flower
They really do grow some high quality cannabis at Lucky Elk. And the cool thing is they also grow some high quality yet less expensive outdoor and greenhouse flower. I have tried flower from all three of their tiers and to be honest they all have been pretty darn good, even their lowest grade. For the price it was good and I like the idea of some of the outdoor, full, natural sunlight grown plants. Let’s take a look.
AAAA Exotic Grade Flower
This is their top tier line, the quadruple A grade flower. The prices reflect their tip top tier rankings given by the elk with eights at $40 at the time of this review. I have high expectations spending this much.

From their exotic line I’ve tried GovernMint Oasis and Superboof.
The GovernMint was most excellent with a pine and christmas tree flavor. I smoked it so fast I did not get pictures taken to do a proper review. I will certainly order it again when I am going the ‘buy the best bud regardless of price’ route.
The Superboof would have been great if I had liked the flavor. I had no idea what to expect when I ordered it and it came back super loud with to me almost an overwhelming cherry fruit bomb flavor that was too sweet or powerful for me. I mean I smoked it all, but I didn’t love it lol.
AAA Top Shelf
This is their ‘top shelf but not exotic level’. The second level down from the top grade. I’ve gotten some of my absolute favorite weed from this grade, specifically the Larry OG. I didn’t get the review of LE’s strain, but the Larry OG is one of my favorite THCa strains I’ve had so far.

The prices here are less than their top shelf and sometimes sales can be found if your timing is lucky. Eighth’s are around $32 at the time of this review.
AA Mid Shelf
If you are looking for organic grown flower without the exotic price tag or if you want some greenhouse grown or outdoor full spectrum sun grown weed then this tier is for you.
I’ve personally had the Fire Lookout and the Purple Punch from this tier and both got me very nicely stoned.
The prices in this tier are around $20 an eighth, so considerably less expensive than the two higher tiers.
Smalls – Small / Discounted Bud
They offer indoor and outdoor smalls but not smalls by specific strains. You’ll get either an indoor strain salad or an outdoor strain salad
You can also get shake and trim and some of their slower selling strains will show up on their discounted products line.
Pre-Rolls
You can buy prerolls here in singles, 6 packs and kief-infused. Prices vary based on the quality of the bud used in the pre-roll. If you are buying an exotic strain, each preroll is around $12. However if you are working off of a ‘mountain salad’ style where the strains are mixed you can get them for about half that price at $6.
THCa Concentrates (Hash Rosin, Resin, & More)
If you are a rosin fan then L E has you covered nicely.
![](https://thcavendors.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/le-6star-rosin.webp)
Their rosin comes in two grades, 6-star and 5-star. Both are made with gentle extraction processes using ice, water, agitation and pressing, which preserve the fine trichomes and full spectrum of cannabinoids.
- Live Hash Rosin 6-star
- Live Hash Rosin 5-star
- Live Hash Rosin Fresh Press (uncured 6-star)
- THCa Badder
- THCa Shatter
- THCa Kief
- THCa Bubble Hash
- Full Spectrum CBD Distillate
I have personally had and loved two of their top tier rosins, the Trop Cherry and Mandarin Cookies, both of which were excellent but I really like the Trop Cherry. Dabbed them both too fast to do a proper product review.
Edibles
- THC D9 Gummies
- Caramel
- D8 Gummies
Lucky Elk’s Reputation – Are They Legit? (Yes)
![](https://thcavendors.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/le-prerolls-box.webp)
I do know that from the normal end users like myself who buy an ounce or so kind of guys like myself, Lucky Elk has remained extremely highly regarded, reputable and trustworthy.
I have been following the forums and communities around THCa vendors for a couple of years now, ever since I started buying my own supply from there. In that time there has only been one issue that caused an uproar in the communities regarding the good elk, and that was from someone working on their wholesale side.
I do not deal in the wholesale market and am not one to say what went down there was the fault of Lucky Elk, the wholesale broker or the client. But it is noted that this has been the only real community dust up (which happens for many of the vendors I do not list on here every few weeks or months) for the LuckyElk vendor since I have been following.
The founder and owner is likely going to be the guy who answers the phone when you call them. That says a lot.
The fact that their location, phone number, email and social media accounts are all easily accessible combined with how long they have been in business is a testament to what you can expect with this vendor.
LuckyElk’s Website
The things about the Lucky Elk website that I like are that it has a real blog with useful information, a robust about section that includes pictures, videos and a history of who they are and detailed contact information in addition to a quality e-commerce section where you can create an account and view past orders and information.
The shopping side of the website is straightforward e-commerce site.
You can shop all of their THCa products on one page in the THCa overview page. From there you have a ton of sorting options including price, availability, strain, taste, scents but size and more. Then you can sort them from new to old, best selling, alphabetical or price.
Once you have found a certain product I like that there is a nice description as well as pictures, and COA’s. If you are shopping for flower you can choose from 1g options up to 28g options. Some strains are only sold in up to 14g options.
Shipping
Free shipping at $75. My orders have all processed and shipped within about 48 hours of hitting the buy button. It is coming from across the country so travel in the mail time is usually 4 days or so after it leaves their building. From ordering to package receipt in my mailbox is just about one full week. I ordered on Wednesday and the following Wednesday it arrived in my mailbox. Oregon to Georgia in a week.
For me personally, it is not the fastest delivery option I have available to myself with a host of vendors from surrounding states like NC, TN, AL, at least for now depending on future legislation and state regulations.
Packaging
So you have options here with the packaging. If you are extra cautious and want to double make sure there is no smell whatsoever you can get extra vacuum sealing done during the checkout phase. It’s a small price to pay for piece of mind if it is of extra importance to you.
The box the goods come in is a small cardboard box and it does sometimes actually have their elk on the packaging. It does not say “hemp” or anything of that nature but if perhaps someone knew the elk used in the branding they would know what is up. I’m surprised it was on there honestly but it’s there.
My previous orders have all came with a little ‘principles of lucky elk’ card, a sticker that has the ‘always choose the best grass’ and a letter to law enforcement showing the products are legal.
Rewards Program
There is not a rewards program yet, however you can sign up for their emails where they will send any promotions or time sensitive discounts.
Final Thoughts
I purchase from LuckyElk more than any other vendor on my lists for my personal use. That says something. I have a wide selection of vendors (as do you) that I can purchase from and the majority of my orders are still from LuckyElk because of the quality of their bud.
I trust them. I recommend to my personal friends. I know that they deliver high quality goods. I’m confident putting my support behind them. If you are on the fence, place your first order with Lucky Elk and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
