Let’s take a deep, deep dive into the different types and kinds of vapes on the market. This guide will cover what you need to know about buying a THCa vape online from a legit vendor.

Types of THCa Vapes Available To Purchase

Hash Rosin Vapes – these are mostly considered the gold standard when it comes to vaping. Rosin is the solventless extract that comes from live cannabis when washed in ice water and water and put through the process to press the extract out in it’s natural concentrated format. These vapes are loud in smell, not discreet at all.

Live Resin Vapes – these vapes are created with live resin, which comes from live cannabis plants but do use solvents to extract the full spectrum of cannabinoids. These are considered the top tier of the non rosin vapes in terms of quality of vape. These are not discreet but they are more discreet than the hash rosin vapes.

Diamond Distillate Vapes – these vapes combine THCa diamonds (most concentrated form of THCa) and distillate and terpenes. You can add CDT, cannabis derived terpenes which are generally more favored than floral or HTE’s (Hydrocarbon Terpene Extracts). These are the most discreet, but make sure you test this yourself because some diamond vapes can put out strong smells on the exhale. It usually dissipates quickly.

The vapes themselves come in two types. A disposable and in cartridge “cart” format. The disposables come with a small, rechargeable battery and a glass atomizer that leads to a nice smooth pull. The glass mouthpiece has a nice feel and the entire setup feels high quality.

When I have shared the vape with some of my connoisseur friends, they held the pen up to the light to look at the oil and mentioned how beautiful it looked. And it does look clean, consistent coloration and pure thick and gooey until heated up nicely.

The ideal hit the vape is ‘low and slow’ with your toke and you’ll get a cloud of vapor on the exhale. It tastes like a dab, hits like a dab and smells like a dab. These are not discreet. I personally do not vape that often, but when I do, these are the vapes I like to use.

Well Fed Wolf – while the product availability is seeming often limited, the reputation of the company is top tier. They offer a variety of THCA concentrates in vape form. Rosin Vapes

These are called live rosin, solventless, hash rosin and live hash rosin.

For a quick explanation, rosin is what is extracted from cannabis plants through a process that does not involve any solvents or chemical agents.

Live Rosin is created by freezing freshly harvested cannabis plants and then agitating them in ice water, and eventually pressing them down through smaller and smaller filtered bags, leaving only the resinous rosin left behind.

There is nothing added, nothing re-introduced or used to create the concentrate other than water, ice, heat and pressure. This makes 100% true live rosin with a complete trichome profile. Live rosin is the gold standard for concentrates for most individuals (admittedly some prefer resin).

You can consume rosin via vapes or in it’s waxy form that you can dab or add to a bowl.

Resin Vapes

Often called live resin, this concentrate is made from freshly frozen plants that are reduced using solvents. Fresh frozen plants are blasted with things like butane, propane or butane hash oil (BHO) and then pressed to squish out the remaining concentrate. This allows the curing and drying steps to be skipped and it allows for the plants natural terpene profile to stay as close as possible, usually making it richer in smell and taste generally speaking.

I have heard a few experienced people argue that live resin vapes are actually better, cleaner and stronger than live rosin. The claim is that the solvents also remove any fertilizers, pesticides and heavy metals. If your flower is free of these things then there is nothing to worry about regardless but this is the claim.

Live resin can be very powerful in effect, loud in smell and strong in taste, all three which come from the underlying plant material used.

How To Make Your Own Vape

1. Buy your hardware – usually a rechargeable battery and 510 cartridge.
2. Get your vape juice – You can do rosin like the video above explains or you can ‘build’ your e-juice how ever you like. Usually you can use some Dr G’s Distillate, throw in some terps to your taste from their terp bar and you are good to go.
3. Open your vape cart – usually twisting the parts will open them up and allow you access to the vessel to receive the juice.
4. Using a syringe or if you have a steady hand, medicine dropper and fill the cart to the max fill line. Do not over fill
5. Put your hardware back together / your mouthpiece back on.
6. Allow it to ‘set’ – let your wick saturate fully giving you a quality vape which can take 24 hours or so.
