707 OG Kush from Hemp Barn

I purchased a half oz of a sativa leaning hybrid called 707 OG Kush from one of my top flower vendors, The Hemp Barn, and this is my review.

As you may know, when the hemp barn drops flower you have to be fairly quick on the draw to get what you are looking for. This was the case with the 707 OG for me. They dropped this one and a Lemon Strain that looked amazing but was already sold out. I snagged one of the last few quarters of the 707 for this review.

Flower

These buds look amazing. Bright green with orange hairs. Covered in frosty trichomes. The bud was nicely trimmed with minimal stems. The texture was not super dense but not airy and light either. Soft, squishy. A nice well cured ready to enjoy flower. The bag appeal on these is top notch. Fresh buds.

Smell

The smell is nice but not overpowering or super loud. Yes you can get pine and classic weed smells. It reminds me of the Larry OG that I picked up before this one that was one of my absolute favorites so far in the land of THCa flower. If you like classic weed taste and smell then you will like this one.

Taste

The taste is the same as the smell. A classic old school weed smell like a piney christmas tree. It is gassy but not funky. No fruity or cherry tastes here.

I tasted this in my water pipe and in my dry herb vape and both tasted similar.

The Toke

Smooth. No coughing and no harshness. No chlorophyll. This was cured great and smokes amazing.

The Effects

I am sure I have a fairly high tolerance since I am a very regular stoner and while the 707 got me nice and high, it was not as good as their previous strain, the Larry OG. I’m def going to continue smoking or vaping everything that I have left, but the effect is good but not great. After looking at the buds I expected a little more. Don’t get me wrong, if I smoke 3/4 of a joint of this stuff I am highly buzzed and feeling really good, it’s just I have been completely zooted from that much quantity of other bud like the Larry OG.

I would rate this one very similar in effects to the Cantaloupe Haze strain from Top Cola.

Final Thoughts on 707 OG Kush

It’s very very good but not great, top tier. I would likely not order this one again just because there are so many options out there to try. I read others review of this strain and some have called it one of the best strains they have ever gotten online so keep in mind everyone’s opinion is different and plenty of others have ranked this one in their top top tier.

I would give this one a total score of 7.9 / 10 just because the effects were not as powerful as I expected from looking at the buds prior to smoking them. They look so damn good I expected to be just totally zooted. I did get very very high just not

I would certainly continue to hold The Hemp Barn in very high regard as far as great flower goes.
